Dun Ringill started 2017 as a dark and doomy project with Nordic folk influences, creating music with big harmonies and present them with lyrics in the land of evil and darkness that were hiding behind a closed door in the mind of Winberg. It evolved to something bigger and your new favorite Swedish Heavy Folk Doom band was born.

I can now finally understand and appreciate what fans of this folklore metal find so encompassing, one thing is for sure, these guys definitely know how to put a monster of an album together.

The first time I heard the trumpets to give the peaks another sound, I was really surprised, but they fit perfectly, and then there is a flute-solo and for a moment you think of Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson playing some real doomy stuff.

But no matter how you turn it, 'Library Of Death` has seven beautifully built, long drawn-out songs where doom is central. Haunting vocals provide a special atmosphere while folk elements provide dark accents. This album can easily be placed next to some album of your heroes in your collection.

DUN RINGILL convince with heaviness, skinny folk and gripping groove, they have their very own sound. This mixture of heaviness, overwhelming doom, the coarse, hysterical vocals, paired with melodies from Nordic folklore and this incredibly gripping groove in a fat sound wall, you can only find it here.

And if you think that the Swedes can not become more doom, then listen to "Funeral Song", "Well Of Desire" or even "Reverend Of Many Faces". If "Welcome" won over the audience, I think Dun Ringill's second album is set to win the impressions.

Library Of Death is a seven-track feast of an album, Dun Ringill have opened my eyes and it comes a complete surprise when the additions of trumpet and jazz flute work their way in to the mix.

No band has yet occupied my album of the year slot twice, but with about five months left to run, Dun Ringill are in with a good chance. This, dear reader, is a great album – and it’s only getting better with each listen.

The album knows how to reveal its cards well, giving an epic taste but with interesting decidedly folkloristic digressions, which inject that sense of strangeness, magic, bringing to mind the psychedelic music of the 70s, evoking the most classic, dated and energetic heavy metal giving life to an unpredictably tasty, engaging and also in a certain sense nostalgic, exciting, well-kept, provocative and absolutely damned good album!

'Library Of Death' is instead a disk chiseled in the cold stone. Cathedral's doom school merges with Paradise Lost, The variety in writing is appreciable, moving between epic and monolitic episodes. Dun Ringill did not disappoint expectations.

Thomas's voice is incredible and very ad hoc to this style: thick, deep, semi ragged and enjoyed because he really "sings", vomiting icy fire with his throaty , operatic voice , reaching higher tones with his unique singing. Here you will find a must-see piece of doom metal with high-quality folk touches! The truth is that records like this do not require more words: excellent workmanship and production, beautiful songs that manage to transcend as original creations.

One thing can be said for sure: "Library Of Death" is not monotonous. The listener is offered seven different and varied songs. All six musicians understand their craft and thus manage to deliver really good songs.

These swedes are strong! It is hard not to fall in love with Dun Ringills second album, Library of Death! Thomas Eriksson's vocals work wonders, his interpretive power brings extra depth to these tracks built around the lumberjack riffs of the three (!) Guitarists. "Reverend Of Many Faces" constituting the high point of this journey to the abysses which paradoxically gave us a smile!

That will be shed at your funeral, and this is about as cheerful as this dark piece of Scandinavian metal gets, I forgot that I was sitting outside on a bright sunny day, instead it started to feel like I was in some remote forest at the dead of night. . The folk elements come and go as the album winds its way down a pretty dark road, if you want your music to be merry and about dwarves singing shanty songs then this album just isn’t for you.

Library of Death is lawful evil put into musical form. I highly recommend stepping into the Library of Death -- there's no better riffs among which to take your last breath.

Library of Death, released last Friday, the New Dun Ringill becomes our DISC OF THE WEEK!.They have achieved one of the albums of the year!Definitely, it is superior to their debut that already pointed out ways such as “Welcome” , but 'Library Of Death' with all the exposure offered to the doom genre from its origins to the present day.
